UT Student Government

My involvement in UT Student Government over three years has been a cornerstone of my development at the intersection of media and civic engagement. 

This journey began during my freshman year as Communications Officer for Hook the Vote, a role that sparked my interest in how accessible and digestible information can empower underrepresented communities like the one I came from. This realization motivated me to take on greater leadership roles as Deputy Communications Director and, eventually, Communications Director.

As Communications Director, I led a team of six students, developed public relations strategies, and navigated public-facing crises, all while fostering partnerships with influential campus organizations like Texas Exes and The Daily Texan. These experiences deepened my passion for combining effective media strategies with advocacy to drive meaningful change.
